It's his year of technology

I was feeling pretty down yesterday, as I got some news that a childhood friend of mine passed away on Saturday night. Knowing this, my dad sent me this text yesterday.


"A poem

life is a gift
erin is a gift
erin is life"



Not only was it one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me, my dad actually took the time to text it to me. This is the man who I will text a question or a funny comment to, and his response is always, "I love you too." This is because it's already saved in his phone from the one time I texted him with, "I love you" and he responded.

When I marveled at the fact that he actually typed this all out, he said, "It took five minutes for the poem, thirty for the text."
