"...and she shakes her little tush on the catwalk."

Tracie is now a swimsuit model. Don't believe me? Check her out! She's on the right, looking all fierce.

She let me know that she is taking her career as a model seriously with ending an email like this:

"Ok, well, I should get back to my day of laying around and looking gorgeous and smoking cigarette's, it's how we models roll."

She is also listening to "Supermodel" by RuPaul and "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred on repeat. But honestly, that isn't much different than before her stint as a model.

Look out, Tyra.

Channeling Gloria Estefan

Come on, shake your body baby,
Do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger
Don't you fight it till you've tried it
Do the conga beat
Soon this will be my mantra as I have decided to start going to a Latin Fushion dance class on Monday nights. I have yet to see what the class is like, but I still think I am going to show up in some sort of Flamenco dress and heels. I'm pretty sure I'll be the cool kid in class, just as I was in High School. Oh wait....
I took dance classes for about 13 years, so the rhythm has already got me. And supposedly this is for more working out purposes than training for Dancing With the Stars. But in my head I picture an instructor like Johnny Castle and his strong arms twirl me about the dance floor as he teaches me lessons in both the rumba and in life. We'll strike up this torrid love affair, until my father finds out and forbids me to see him anymore because he's almost 40.
I mean come on, Dad! We're in love! He sees me for who I am, not what I should become! It doesn't matter than he can't read, he's got the dance, and you can't take that away from him! We'll run away if we have to!
Wait... where was I? Oh. Right.
So at best I'll probably be in a class with all middle aged women in adidas capris and loose tank tops. I doubt any Mario Lopez look alikes will grace us with their presence. Let's get real-- they are already out in the clubs, living the dream. Grinding to the rat tat tat tat tat tat on the drums.

"Grow Up."

My grandmother is in the hospital, and has been for the past week. Emotions are running high, and my family is on edge. I finally cried today, and I've had a migrane for the past 4 days, so the crying doesn't help.

I'm tired and I want a hug. I honestly don't think I've been hugged for a month. That makes me want to cry some more. I had so many other things I wanted to post, but I couldn't muster the energy.

Sorry, internet.
